The only returning character being Dry Bowser, another clone and some general Nintendo characters (which were fun additions, not knocking those)ħ had a garbage roster but at least most of us went "oh yea, handheld rosters are usually mediocre, they'll grab the good bits from 7 and make a more Wii like roster next console game" and then they didn't do that at all If you weren't a fan of the Koopalings you basically had nothing new on the roster from Wii and plenty of cuts to big popular staple characters like Birdo, King Boo, Dry Bones, Bowser Jr and Diddy. half of 7's newcomers, 7 Koopalings, Shy Guy keeping his selectable status from 7, 7 Koopalings and 2 alt versions of already playable characters.
